Amanda Atkinson-Lewis, LCSW

Amanda Atkinson-Lewis LCSW provides individual therapy to adolescents (ages 15 and older) and adults, using a foundation of Relational, Systems, Psychoeducational, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy theories and modalities.  She specializes in working with clients living with Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and loss.

She helps clients find their way through challenging life transitions and events with warmth, encouragement, clinical solidity, and strengths based approaches.  She also supports clients who are at a point in their lives where they are feeling ready to reflect on their upbringing or past life events, as a way to better understand themselves and navigate life into the future.

Amanda graduated with a Master's of Social Work in 2007 from Boston College and since has practiced clinical social work in Maine in a variety of settings, including schools, community based organizations, and private practice outpatient therapy.  Amanda's personable nature has lent well to all aspects of her work.  Her experiences in schools and community leave her uniquely qualified to understand the positive and challenging impacts that community systems may have on our wellbeing.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with friends and family, and embarking on both ambitious and relaxing outdoor adventures.
